Hi Tim — Just wanted to send you a general appreciation for Piano Genius. I re-started the program recently, and love it! Thinking in terms of finger patterns instead of note names or dots on a staff is what I’m used to doing on guitar.

I tried many other piano programs. Reading notation, especially bass clef, proved immensely frustrating. Yours is the only teaching resource I know for piano that dispenses with notation and instead teaches how to move your fingers, without having to look at a page of dots. Since I’m interested in improvisation and songwriting, rather than reproducing classical pieces, this is the only program for me!

I’ve studied a lot of music theory, but certain concepts have only made sense since I started your lessons.

I wish that everyone learned with your method. I’m sure it would result in far fewer students dropping out of piano lessons.
